Each winner captures 2-3x the average loss. Math: 30% win rate at 3:1 R:R = positive expectancy. We do NOT optimize for win rate — we optimize for expectancy. 70% of trades lose. That's the design. How it works (architecture, not magic) 3-tier signal pipeline: 1. T1 — Mathematical ranking: scores 30 symbols on momentum, volatility, and regime fit 2. T2 — Rules veto: hard filters (stale data gate, exposure caps, drawdown circuit breaker) 3. T3 — AI refiner: LLM evaluates surviving candidates for context quality Every position has a mandatory stop-loss from entry. No averaging down, no martingale. Position sizing is capped at 1% risk per trade. Drawdown circuit breaker arms at -20%, requires 90% recovery to re-arm. What I learned (the honest part) - 70% of trades lose. This is not a money printer. - KuCoin's WebSocket candle feed degrades daily (~16:40 UTC). I built a stale-data gate (rejects >85% stale OHLCV). Infrastructure pain nobody talks about. - Shadow validation before live deployment caught strategies that looked great in backtest but failed live (slippage, fee drag, signal decay). - 259 TP fills means the system is actually executing and closing trades, not just generating signals.
